Hi, I'm Leonard Weitze (Leo), from Munich, Germany. I spent two years living abroad (Maastricht, Netherlands, Sydney, Australia). 

 

My academic background is in TV production and I live in Vienna, Austria.

My career took an unexpected turn over 7 years ago into the dynamic realm of digital marketing and product development. 

 

I've spent those exhilarating years immersed in the start-up and scale-up environment, an experience that has significantly shaped me both personally and professionally.

2016-2023: Experience the joy and the pain

Leo, the founder, served as a leader in both a corporate start-up and a VC scale-up for over 7 years, an experience he thoroughly enjoyed.

 

There's a certain thrill in solving problems in innovative ways or tackling challenges that have never been addressed before. However, during this time, he also gained firsthand insight into the challenges that leadership faces in such environments.

 

In January and February 2024, we conducted market research to identify how we can maximize our impact and help address these challenges.

2023-2024: Identify the problem

The struggle faced by exhausted scale-up founders and employees is a significant challenge. Despite the clarity of this issue, many companies struggle to find the right solution.

 

Leo conducted qualitative research interviews with over 50 CEOs of start-ups, scale-ups, and a handful of outliers from the established business world to delve deeper into this matter.

 

Additionally, he engaged in one-on-one discussions with over 30 employees and collected feedback from over 120 respondents through an anonymous survey within the same spheres.
